Privacy Policy for TrackQR
Effective Date: June 18, 2026
Introduction
TrackQR ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the TrackQR mobile application. TrackQR uses Google Firebase Authentication to securely manage user accounts.
Information Collection & Permissions
Authentication
We collect your email address and password securely via Google Firebase Authentication for the purposes of account setup, login, and account recovery. Passwords are never stored in plain text and are managed entirely by Firebase's secure infrastructure.
Location Data
TrackQR requests access to your device's location to provide location-based tracking features. Location data is processed strictly on-device or handled securely through Firebase services associated with your account. We never sell, share, or use your location data for advertising.
Camera Access
TrackQR requires access to your device's camera solely for scanning QR codes. The camera feed is processed in real-time on-device. No images or videos are collected, stored, or transmitted to external servers.
Data Security
We rely on Firebase's industry-standard security measures — including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication tokens, and strict access controls — to protect your information.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To do so, contact us at Kenneth.smith@sbcglobal.net or use the in-app account deletion option, when available. We will process verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of TrackQR after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
